At HEINEKEN, we’re on an exciting journey to become a truly data-driven marketing organization, and as the Global Consumer Data Lead, you’ll play a key role in bringing this vision to life. By shaping how we understand, connect with, and inspire consumers around the world, you’ll turn insights into meaningful impact across our global portfolio.

Job Purpose

The Global Consumer Data Lead plays a pivotal role in enabling HEINEKEN’s ambition to become a truly data-driven organization. This role is focused on accelerating growth by embedding consumer data capabilities across the organization—from Global to Regionial entities—and transforming how marketing communications are planned, optimized, and executed using 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party data.

As the driving force of HEINEKEN’s global consumer data strategy, you will define, deploy, and scale a consistent approach to leveraging data to fuel more impactful marketing, enable performance measurement, and foster a culture of innovation and responsible data usage across our teams.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across Commerce (Marketing, Media, Brand, Innovation), Data & Technology, Privacy, Procurement, and key external partners such as media agencies and tech/data platforms (e.g., Google, Salesforce), while also coaching and supporting local teams to build their own capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

CONSUMER DATA STRATEGY & CAPABILITIES

  • Design and deploy a global consumer data (1/2/3PD) roadmap for our portfolio in partnership with D&T, Regions, local entities, and agencies to fuel the marketing communications process.
  • Translate strategic marketing communications needs into clear, actionable consumer data plans and deliverables, ensuring timely and high-impact execution of these across regions and local entities.
  • Drive partnerships with key consumer data providers and global platforms to maximize value from data collaborations.

FUNDAMENTALS & RESPONSIBLE DATA MANAGEMENT

  • Harmonize global and local efforts for consumer data collection, usage, and governance.
  • Ensure effective and consistent deployment of data management conventions and policies.
  • Translate complex data and technology topics into clear, compelling narratives for non-technical stakeholders, enabling shared understanding and informed decision-making.

CHAMPIONING A DATA-DRIVEN CULTURE

  • Evangelize a data-first mindset across the marketing and commerce organization.
  • Lead the internal Consumer Data Community to foster cross-functional learning, capability development, and knowledge exchange.
  • Provide hands-on coaching and mentorship to (1x) direct and indirect reports, fostering their development as data leaders.

What’s in it for you?

You will be at the forefront of transforming one of the world’s most iconic beverage brands into a data-powered marketing organization. This is a high-impact leadership role with global reach, where you will influence how HEINEKEN connects with consumers, measures success, and innovates across the marketing ecosystem. You’ll play a central role in HEINEKEN’s cultural transformation—promoting data literacy, ethical data use, and creative, insight-led thinking.

In addtion, we offer:

  • A great work/life balance: enjoy 30 vacation days per year.
  • Stress-free commuting: enjoy easy travel with an NS Business Card for public transport, making your daily commute simple and stress-free.
  • Sustainability at heart: join a company committed to making a positive impact—HEINEKEN aims to have CO2-neutral locations by 2030.
  • Grow with us: we offer endless opportunities for you to learn, grow, and explore new career paths, both locally and globally.

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in global/regional roles focused on consumer data strategy, preferably in FMCG or retail.
  • Experience in leveraging consumer data (1,2,3PD) to power communications / media strategies, plans, and buying. Preferably with actual hands-on planning and buying experience.
  • Experience with CDPs, DMPs, CRM, Marketing Automation, DAM, and Analytics platforms.
  • Familiarity with paid media and creative execution processes, as well as measurement and analytics (efficiency and effectiveness solutions).
  • Knowledge of privacy regulations, particularly GDPR, and experience interfacing with legal/compliance.
  • Experience leading cross-functional, complex transformation projects using Agile ways of working.
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical thinking, and a passion for creativity and innovation.
