Your job

For this role initially you will be the regulation expert with regard to EBALOM guidelines, that means that you have to read and understand the regulation requirements and support the business to compare with the policies and procedures implemented and the systems deployed. Working directly with the EBALOM Program Manager, you will have to work together to create an implementation plan and support the team writing down the memorandums to the bank with the current/future scenario. Besides EBALOM there will be other projects wherein you will be involved. Reporting directly to the Manager Risk Measurement & Modelling you will be also supporting different portfolios regarding guidelines and relevant requirements. AAB and ABF are constantly changing, which means that we need to guarantee fluent and accurate communication via memos e.g. Compliance, AML and Fraud.

Activities more in detail are:

• Making sure that the reports are made available for submission to the regulator and Bank in a timely manner and according to the standards
• Execution of reporting memorandums, drafting the risk map, defining actions and follow-up on them
• Perform/Support compliance monitoring & testing activities on general compliance and anti-corruption controls
• Perform regulatory watch, initial assessment of the potential impact of regulatory changes and liaise with legal department or business on the strategy for deployment
• Liaise with business on regulatory compliance matters and be flexible in helping local team, providing answers and advices.
• Comprehensive knowledge development of written processes, procedures and policies

Working environment

ABN AMRO Asset Based Finance (ABF) is internationally cross border organized and has operating companies in Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. ABF is a subsidiary of Corporate Banking. ABF provides Leasing and Commercial Finance solutions to SME, corporate, and international business clients, distributing our products through omnichannel, digitally (providing standard solutions and convenience) as well through personal sales (providing a coverage model for complex solutions and expertise).

Your place of employment is the Beneluxlaan in Utrecht. In line with hybrid working, we have adopted the new way of working, which allows you to work at different locations and times. In this role you are part of the Business Control department within ABF. Business Control is primarily responsible for the adequate design and implementation of ABF's first line risk management. The department consists of 25 professionals in Risk Oversight & Control, Business Process Improvement and Risk Measurement & Modelling. The Head of BC is member of the MT ABF and reports to the CEO of ABF. In this role, you report to the head of Risk Measurement & Modelling. The department covers all four ABF countries.

• WO/HBO+ working and thinking level;
• 3 - 5 years of relevant professional experience in a compliance/legal function in a financial institution;
• Knowledge on business compliance topics (e.g. EBA guidelines)
• Good communication, presentation and coordination skills
• Strong stakeholder management skills within and outside the department.
• Flexibility, no day will be the same
• Real skills in taking ownership, autonomy, adaptability, diplomacy and also able to work cooperatively to achieve common goals
• Keen sense of ethics and integrity, muti-cultural mentality and flexibility
• Works with persistence, is result driven.
• having detetailed understanding of the company, it’s structures, markets and products is a plus.
