NIBC is looking for a Regulatory Portfolio Officer to support management of regulatory change within NIBC.
Why would you want to work for NIBC’s Regulatory Affairs team?
NIBC is subject to a large number of changing regulatory requirements. As a Regulatory Portfolio Officer in the Regulatory Affairs team, you ensure the bank has a full overview of regulatory change initiatives. The role is relatively new and therefore you will have a chance to further develop and form this role within the bank. The Regulatory Affairs team is part of the Compliance & Regulatory Affairs department. The Compliance & Regulatory Affairs department consists of ca 17 fte’s, including staff at NIBC’s international offices in Frankfurt, London and Brussels.
You will report to the Head of Regulatory Affairs and also work closely together with the three regulatory experts within the Regulatory Affairs team. Together with the regulatory experts, you will coordinate and monitor regulatory change within NIBC. This involves close cooperation with stakeholders throughout the bank on all levels. You will also be involved in policy management activities.
What we are looking for is someone who takes initiative, performs well in a team as well as alone, can plan and organize his or her work, and has a creative and flexible attitude. We look for someone who is able to perform under pressure and is quick in building and maintaining relationships. Additionally, the role requires you to be organizationally sensitive, know how to manage different stakeholders and to adhere to processes and procedures, never losing track of the bigger picture.

Who are we looking for?
You recognize yourself in most of the below:
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a similar role (e.g. regulatory portfolio management; regulatory change implementation) in a bank, another type of financial institution, or a consultancy working with financial institutions;
- Portfolio management skills;
- Consultancy skills (analytical, advising, coaching, driving change);
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including ability to build up an (internal) network;
- Broad general knowledge of regulatory landscape applicable to financial institutions;
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills;
… and ideally meet a few of the below criteria:
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Business, Economics or Law;
- Project management skills;
- Legal knowledge/background;
- General banking knowledge: Retail and Corporate Banking business processes; and
- Fluent in Dutch and English (our corporate language), written & spoken.
