Do you have a vision on how to improve the development experience for our 5.000+ engineers, so that they can efficiently develop features for our customers?” Within the area Adherence, squads create standardized services to support the software development processes, ensuring and embedding quality, performance and security standards. Our goal is to make the life of the Rabobank engineers easier and more efficient, by delivering and supporting engineering services optimizing the end-to-end software development process. 

You and your job

you will provide ready-to-go services for the Engineers, transforming current tools into services and develop smart solutions. Together with the Sr Tech Lead you will facilitate this transition. You will enable squads, implement the S@S way of working and create on- & offshore teams with the right mix of technical and soft skills.  

You will coach, guide, and support squads. In this role you are HR responsible for the Scrum masters, Solution architects, and Angineers. Make life easy with easy-to-use and accessible services. Innovate, automate, and change where possible. Learn from repetitive questions or incidents, create a culture of curiosity and ask questions to understand users/engineers. Bring creativity and propose solutions. Bridging the gap between what is available and required to enable engineers within the Rabobank.  

The Tech Lead Adherence is ultimately responsible for the following:  

  • Overseeing the IT delivery strategy and ensuring successful execution within the Area Adherence.
  • Collaborating with the Adherence triangle to develop and implement a compelling IT vision for advancing the Tribe Tech4Engineering.
  • Managing relationships and navigating politically sensitive situations with various stakeholders at different levels within the organization.
  • stablishing a high-performing engineering culture by continuously upskilling and reskilling IT staff, fostering a culture of excellence and lifelong learning
  • Guiding the transition towards empowered and high-performing teams.
  • Driving technological leadership through innovation, change management, and operational execution.
  • Ensuring system stability and security while promoting standardization across processes.
  • Advancing the maturity of the S@S (Scrum at Scale) methodology within the Adherence domain.
  • Demonstrating strong risk management practices and maintaining control over potential risks.
  • Complying with established standards and policies, including security and Life Cycle Management standards.
  • Prioritizing quality and developing internal knowledge to attract and retain top talent.
  • Creating a robust talent pipeline and skill pools to enhance skill and craftsmanship development.
  • Exhibiting top-tier communication and influencing skills to challenge, influence, develop, and motivate employees, driving positive behavioral changes.

Profile

The Tech Lead we are seeking is a people-oriented collaborator, who is customer-focused and inspiring, making an impact, expressing and fulfilling promises, with drive, decisiveness, and courage. Additionally, you must possess the following characteristics: 

  • You have an entrepreneurial profile, are curious about how others do things, bring sharpness to discussions, and challenge your colleagues. 
  • Academic level of work and thinking. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles within complex IT environments. 
  • Knowledge of and experience with DevOps teams and scaled Agile. 
  • Relevant experience with issues in complex, preferably non-standardized, environments. 
  • Extensive experience in software development and management. 
  • Experience in guiding DevOps teams in transition. 
  • Demonstrable affinity and passion for digitization and Cloud technology. 
  • Proficiency in both Dutch and English (business level, writing, and speaking). 
  • You are a strong business conversationalist, radiating seniority. You play a pivotal role by weighing business interests and risks together with the business. In tough discussions, you stand your ground.
