You and your job

As part of the Data Protection Specialists (DPS) team within the Global Privacy Office, you will carry out the delegated tasks of the Global Data Protection Officer (GDPO). By providing actionable privacy advice to our first-line colleagues, you help balance risk, return, and sustainability. The DPS team consists of approximately 12 colleagues and reports to the GDPO.

Practical Examples

• Serving as the privacy expert for the organization on your designated topics;
• Acting as a contact point for escalated requests and complaints from individuals regarding their personal data;
• Advising on data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and personal data breaches.

Top 3 responsibilities

• Provide actionable advice on privacy-related issues on behalf of the (GDPO);
• Act as a contact point for escalated requests and complaints from individuals on the processing of their personal data and the Dutch Data Protection Authority (DPA) on issues relating to processing;
• Inform and advise our colleagues in the first line of responsibility on data privacy and record keeping.

The 12 people in DPS advise the organization on privacy related-issues, support data subjects as an escalation point, and cooperate with the Dutch DPA. Working together is the way we work; as 1 expert team at Rabobank.

You and your talent

• BSc or MSc degree in a relevant field;
• +5 years (with BSc) or +3 years (with MSc) of relevant working experience, e.g. in roles in Information Security, Compliance, Risk, or Audit. Working experience as a (delegated) Data Protection Officer is a plus;
• You are passionate about Data Protection. Proven knowledge, for instance through a CIPP/E certification, is a plus;
• You actively contribute to collaborative efforts, leveraging diverse perspectives to create a positive impact achieving collective goals;
• You navigate change & uncertainty with flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive mindset;
• You present yourself in an impactful and inspiring way in both Dutch & English.
