Within Rabobank’s Legal we manage legal risks and safeguard the reputation of the Rabobank by providing high quality legal support and solutions.
As (Medior) Legal Counsel in Legal FMPR you will provide legal support on a wide range of financial markets products and infrastructure. You will work on financial markets documentation and transactions (such as derivatives and securities financing), business projects (such as product innovations) and regulations (such as EMIR, MiFID, BRRD, Benchmark Regulation).
By sharing your expertise, cooperating with and being coached/coaching colleagues and further improving the way of working, you will reinforce the team and the businesses it supports. Partnering with the business comes naturally and you understand their needs, aligning these with first line and second line requirements and keeping the bank and customer interest top of mind. You are proactive, flexible, think out-of-the-box, have a collaborative mindset and provide high quality legal advice.

Focus on this position
Your primary focus is expected to be to deliver transaction and documentation support in derivatives, combined with some regulatory work.
You and your talent
For this position we are looking for a (Medior) Legal Counsel with the following qualifications:
- A Master of Laws, Dutch or English law qualified, preferably with a focus on financial law (or a previous position where you have actively used this in a role);
- Around 2 to 6 years’ work experience, with preferably some experience within a financial markets practice, including derivatives and related regulation;
- Note that deviations from number of years of experience, i.e. more than 6 years or less than 2 years, may be considered as well;
- Strong English language skills.
